Meet Hunter~Mckee Ranch, Las Vegas
Last week, on a business trip for Discount Direct, I flew to Las Vegas. This allowed me to schedule a session while I was in town. Which was a first for me to shoot professionally out-of-state. A very big deal for little old me. I hope I can continue shooting if different states.
The session took place at this awesome farm called Mckee Ranch, with about a hundred different setups for amazing backdrops. Everywhere you look there was an antique or an animal wandering around. The animals were very friendly. Bunnies were hopping by and chickens doing what they do. If you have a little tot this would be a great escape for a couple of hours.
Hunter kept me on my toes for sure. He was fascinated with all the surroundings. He must have napped like a champ after this session. I know I wanted too. I loved meeting this little guy and his mama. It seemed like we always knew each other. Which is a great feeling!
I hope you enjoy my favorite images!
Thank you so much Sara for this wonderful opportunity! I can’t say enough what that meant to me. You even went out of your way to pick me up. So you really went the extra mile for me~literally! You have a beautiful boy who is going to break some hearts for sure! I really hope our paths cross again! Mi casa is Su casa.
Meet the McReynolds~in studio
If you look up the word miracle in the dictionary you might find this definition:

2. such an effect or event manifesting or considered as a work of God.
3. a wonder; marvel.
4. a wonderful or surpassing example of some quality: a miracle of modern acoustics.
Meet the Lehmans~In studio
Winter is here in full effect. You may think this is not the best time for pictures, but Au Contraire Mon Frere. I’ve actually had one of my busiest months shooting in clients homes, my studio, and a quick jaunt outside in the cold. And I’ve also been designing a book for my biggest client. So its been a well-rounded month. Somehow I have to catch up on blogging. So here I go.
The first session is a mini family session. We shot here in the studio and literally 15 minutes outside by my home.
This just melts my heart. Did I mention this is my family? The next shot we were able to use my Great Grandfather’s high chair. That’s a five generation connection. Awwww….
What can I say?! Auntie/Sister loves you three!!
Goodbye 2011! You treated me well with sugar and spice. Hello 2012!
Fashion Shoot~private home in Duvall
A recent photo shoot allowed me to dabble in a new genre~ the world of fashion and portfolio building. I loved exploring this side of photography. It was challenging and exciting to have a little crew of workers all collaborating ideas. I learned so much at this shoot. I love expanding my horizons.
This selection of photos were just part one of a series to come. What a beauty! I want to give a big thank you to all that helped. The home that we were able to use was so beautiful. I think I walked around saying I love this to every wall I saw.
Thank you so much for this experience, Vannessa! It’s been wonderful reconnecting on such a creative venture!
Meet bun in the oven #3
The gift of custom photography is truly one of a kind. One of my latest sessions was a wonderful gift given by a previous client of mine. I know that I’m bias because I think its one of the of best gifts you could get. Moments like these are gone is a flash. And it’s hard to remember exactly what we look like when we are pregnant. I wish I had more than a few snapshots myself. So if it ever happens again I’ll be signing up for photos. (Did I mention I have gift certificates available?!)
I can’t wait to meet little Charlotte. She is going to arrive in a loving home with two big sisters to teach her everything she needs to know. She is going to have tea parties, mock weddings, and princess dress up days ahead. She already has amazing parents and sooooo much love coming her way. Now that’s the way to enter this world!
Here are a few of my favorites. I mention a few because I give a ton of images. ♥
Thank you Roxanne and Brittany! You are both amazing people. I am grateful to have you as friends. I feel like I share something special with you both. I love all the little ones you guys have in your lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Meet Endo and Jet
Sometimes the best location for a photo shoot can be your own home. As it’s been for my last three sessions. We can always find great places that have that special prop and background that no one else will have. Then when you look back you love everything about your photos. Oh that’s my house back in 09′ along with how sweet the kids look. Or that’s the blanket that auntie made or your child’s favorite chair growing up. The possibilites of items to use are endless. If you’re unsure about your lighting or what would look good. I will gladly come over and take a gander. Plus, I get to know you better and this transforms an idea into a beautiful reflection of who I’m shooting.
The boys below are special to me. I’ve know them since birth and get to see them weekly. One has a sweet obsession with costumes and the other about the cutest smile around. Here a couple of my favorite shots of the session.
Reiko, I was so excited to take your picture again. Your boys are so full of life. I love the way they play together. I look forward to watching them grow up with Dylan. And here’s to more zumba!
Meet the Lozanos~Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park
This week I am celebrating 12 years of marriage to my highschool sweetheart. We made it a family affair and went to Victoria, BC. Lately, we don’t get a whole lot of time together so we treasure every minute we spend with each other.
Right before we left I was privileged to capture this family. I know they love their time together too. I could feel their unity in parenting these small children. Strong loving parents are the foundation of a strong family. I know they are going to raise these wonderful children into inspiring caring adults. I could already see them nurturing each other.
This location was awesome and huge. So there are many areas you can find a private spot to shoot. You can actually even grab a bite to eat at Kid Valley or Ivars while you’re here. You can read more about Coulon park here.
…family photos can be some of the most challenging shoots. But I always come away with real moments that display all kinds of different emotions caught. So here’s to our hard work Tiffany!
I hope you guys enjoy these as much as I do.

Thank you Tiffany and Juan for coming back to me for your family portraits. I love your family. I feel very welcome and could have jumped in your car and gone home with you guys. I feel like we are old pals! I look forward to many more fun memories with you guys!
Meet Megan and her tots~Alki Beach, Seattle
If you’re not a fan of posing for pictures then this is for you.
This session made me super excited because it was all candid. I loved the freedom to shoot everything and anything my little heart desired. I think I actually got a pretty good workout running, ducking, and walking the beach. And they brought the coolest props ever~a kite, windmill, bubbles, a big red ball, and even checkers that we didn’t get a chance to use. I was having so much fun that our session just flew by.
The location was full of possibility. The seattle skyline, the beach, trees to climb, the boardwalk (what more could you want). I’m sure I could people watch all day down there. If you ever get a chance, come to Alki Beach.
I had a hard time choosing my favorites~
Thank you so much Megan for the freedom of using my creativity. I loved playing with you and the kids. They are so adorable and full of laughter. It was an honor!
