Meet Jazlyn~Duvall Newborn Photographer

♥Sweet baby love on the blog this lovely Saturday♥

Baby number three in her family arrived and has been showered with love by her family and friends.  Isn’t she just precious!  I had so much fun playing with her and she looks so adorable in all her outfit changes.  All the outfits are a collaboration her mother and I put together.  The board with her name on it was an etsy find and I just adore it!  Someday I’d like to craft one myself.

This was my sixth session I’ve had with this awesome family.  I love seeing all the kids grow up.  It’s a special part of my job.  And all the baby snuggles are a fantastic part as well.

I hope you’ll enjoy these images with the same love I have for them.

Meet Maverick~Newborn Photography, Duvall

Here’s a little man who stole my heart.  He’ll call me Aunty.  And I may spoil him because that’s what Aunties do.  My daughter is also obsessed with him and all the things she will teach him to do and to eat.  She talks about him daily.  There is something special about cousins isn’t there.

Since I know his Daddy really well, I knew what theme would be perfect~ A tiny little fisherman.  I had the little outfit for months waiting his arrival.  The adorable knit outfit is from https://www.etsy.com/shop/HatCharacters?ref=below-listing-title.  The fishing rod detail is amazing.  I wish I had knitting skills like that.

I hope you enjoy my favorites from our session.

Bartolettis ~ Tolt McDonald River Park, Carnation

Hello sunshine!  We have been missing you so much!

It’s quite helpful for me when we have great weather.  So sessions are in full force right now.  I’ve opened up a time slot on Sunday mornings to help free up some time on Saturdays.   This may work well for some of you.

I met this adorable family last weekend at one of my favorite parks to shoot at.  It was an overcast day, which I personally love. I have more freedom to stand wherever I want and use up all the pretty backgrounds.  And I thought I loved fall the most.  Spring is just as beautiful.

These two boys sure have grown.  Such polite little ones.  They will be breaking hearts with those blue eyes!

Here’s a sneak peek of their session.

Meet the Maurers~Juanita Bay Park, Kirkland

Have you ever met someone and realized later that you had met previously? Well this happened to me with this beautiful mother.  It had been about 6 years or so when her son was a young toddler.  We met at a mutual friend’s baby shower.  I guess I don’t forget faces.  Especially ones that I’ve photographed.  Names on the other hand I don’t have a clue two seconds after I’m told most of the time.  I’ll have to try the rhyming game to get that down.

We had a great time together at the park running and exploring.  Spring here is just as pretty as the fall with the willow trees and tiny budding flowers among the grass.  Also along the boardwalk were a forest of ferns growing.  It was beautiful.  I want to go back and see more with my family soon.

And this baby with her tongue.  Be still my heart.  What a doll!!!

~Here’s the highlights~

Emma is One~Duvall Studio

This little cutie was back for her one year photos.  The highlight of course was the cake smash.  It was exploding with cuteness for me to watch her devour her cupcake.  She didn’t hesitate for a second to begin digging in.  Just a few crumbs remained.

Since the weather had been so terrible, dark, and rainy I’ve had many of my sessions  postpone in hopes of the sun making an appearance. But this doll could come hang in the studio.  So we had no problems capturing her curious nature and that million dollar smile (I had that saying said about my daughter so it makes me laugh inside to write it out with the memory attached to her too).

After a year goes by you see this totally different tiny human arrive.  It’s really amazing.  One thing remained the same, however, her sweet happy nature and the joy in her mamas eyes as she watches her.  I’m sure I have the most obnoxious smile on my smile observing. So pay no attention to my expressions while I photograph you.  Inside my head I’m screaming I LOVE MY JOB! Next up are a couple of family sessions.  So make sure to come back for a peek.

Here are some of my favorite images~

Meet Jared~Class of 2017~Cedarcrest

If you’ve ever had the joy of scrolling through http://awkwardfamilyphotos.com you will see the inspiration for a few of our photos in this session.  And you may die of laughter after you spend some time on that site.  Sorry, I tried to warn you…

Finding clients with a great sense of humor and their confidence in my creative abilities is my dream.  I found just that with this guy and his family.  Also shooting close to home is always a plus.  The high school here is an excellent choice of location.  I hope to go back there again soon.   And we still had snow there!  I did give them a heads up that models suffer through the cold so that’s what we did.

I wish you all the best after you graduate!

Here are my favorites from the sesh.

Meet Tucker~Newborn in home session

Ahhhh, the day it snowed was this little guy’s afternoon session.  So after sledding, snowman building, snowball fights, and hot cocoa I headed over for my baby fix and met my neighbors.

The little guy was so content and happy.  The moment he started to the fuss his daddy, the baby whisperer, had some amazing tricks that soothed him immediately.  They also had a 10 month old puppy that was smitten by the new edition.  He nuzzled him and laid gently beside him.  It was so sweet to watch.  I don’t think I’ve seen a dog behave with a newborn so well so young.

It was pretty much a perfect day for me.  It was a gift.  I followed up with one more session to close out 2016.  What a wonderful year for my little business.  Not every shoot was blogged, but if you look back I had quite of variety of sessions.  Congratulations to the engagements, babies, weddings, and graduates this past year.  It’s touches me deeply to observe all these life moments and to see your children grow each year.  I’ve met so amazing people from all over our area.  In fact, this was a funny encounter.  As I went in to get my teeth cleaned over the summer I saw a previous coworker and friend who was finishing up her last patient that happened to be her son in law.  She introduced us and I was like…. I know you.  I had taken his headshot, a few months back,  and worked along side him at a wedding a few years back.  What are the chances we would have that connection.  We live in such a small world sometimes.

Anyways, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all your support, kind works, referrals, and the hugs too.  I hope to capture you all again next year.

Peace out 2016!

Jack + Heidi~ Elopement

This is a fabulous, Hollywood-glam, intimate elopement that I was honored to capture this month.  All the details were lit by candlelight in this couple’s home with their closest family and friends.  I shed tears, as I do at all my weddings, and even when I attend them those little moments are what get me.  The way her father looked at her while they waited for the cue to walk down the stairs.  The way her mom was overwhelmed at the first sight of her daughter in her dress.  I remember her saying, “Why do you have to take a picture of me crying?”  I chuckled under my breath and mentally gave myself a high-five.

I saw all the details perfectly placed throughout the home.  The garage was replaced with an elegant dining area.  I loved the smell of the food and laughter of the guests.  It all consumes me while I tip toe around and snoop.  The toasts were very touching too.  I won’t forget the sons speech to his dad or the personal vows they wrote to each other.

And then there is the dancing that I love.  I heard singing along with twirls and little girls doing flips as the couple had their first dance.  It was also the night of the Super Moon that lit up the dark sky.  I’d say the day was perfect.  But who am I.  I’m just the person that saw everything with the help of my amazing assistant, my Dad.

Here are some of the highlights from our view.

Meet the Wiggins~

Here is a special session with a family I adore.  These images were taken at their property.  So please don’t hesitate to have me come to your place for sessions.  Parks are great.  But your home has such special meaning and uniqueness.

And what about all those fall colors!!!  We are coming to an end of the fall season of photo sessions.  If you missed out please plan ahead for spring.  It’s the next best time of the year for sessions.

And now time for my favorites.  What a gorgeous family inside and out.  And the most expressive 3 month old I’ve ever photographed.  I just love her.

Meet the Campbells~Juanita Bay Park, Kirkland

I’m very excited to share this session with you guys.  It’s full of joy, laughter, love, energy, and one serious baby.  I met this family through a referral of one of their sisters.  Since they were such a lovely family I was not surprised to find out these guys were also awesome.

We literally had one beautiful sunny pacific northwest fall day that we happened to pick for the session.  At the park there were at least 3 other photo shoots happening at the same time.  I had to ask if I could borrow a tree another group was using.  That’s a first for me.  They were taking a break so we claimed the tree.

And today happens to be another beautiful day so I’m off for another family session.  But first I hope you love my highlights.  I have so many great images these guys received three times my ballpark number promised.  I wish I could share them all but that would take you guys forever to look through.  So here are a few to peruse.
