(I had typed this blog up a few weeks ago. Life got in the way. So sorry about the delay.)
Where do I begin with this beautiful love story. Well I have photographed this lovely bride in two other weddings so I really already can rave about her and her kind demeanor. So to say the least I was very ecstatic to get the message to get together for the bridal consult.
I love all the uniques pieces in their wedding from the purple cons to the cake topper. You can see their personality as a couple. My most favorite moments are the groom to be on stage touching his bride to be’s shoulder as she read the vows. I could see her shoulders relax. And the moments after their vows they came outside for the first time reading the bible together as a married pair. The sun was setting and the words were sinking in to really ground them for the journey ahead.
After those moments we headed in for the taco bar, cake cutting, first dances, and an awesome donut bar. I saw lots of new moves on the dance floor and smiles blazing throughout the room. Then after all that we had our “singing in the rain” moment without any rain. It was glorious. And this is only a smidgen of the images to look at. But they are some of my favorites. I am using some new software to create this new look.
I just wanted to express to all my clients of 2017 how much I adore each of you and appreciate your kind words. Some of your sessions weren’t posted and kept private, but I still look at your images and think of the time spent on each face. Supporting me in this creative outlet brings me so much joy. I couldn’t share so much love in the world without you all.
For me personally, life has been rough this year. I’m really looking to 2018 for further growth in all aspects of life and with this passion. Bring me your challenges and any crazy ideas you have. I love them all. I hope to venture to new locations, meet new faces, see new tiny lives, and connect with all of you from the past sessions.
I hope you fill your homes with all of these images. I actually need more wall space myself. I want to see the people I love plastered all over it. If you come to my house that’s what you’ll see. I’m ready for more adventures like the road trip we took to Disneyland and back along the coast. Who’s with me?!
This is a very special maternity session with some dear friends. I’m so excited to see them journey into parenthood. They love adventure and I’m sure this little one will be on the mountain tops and in the woods straight away.
All the locations were on a road near their home. It was fun to see what we would find on the way out there. The creeping fog was an added bonus. And as you will see the graffiti was perfect. Also the pups about stole the show. They were adorable and loved the camera.
I can’t wait to meet this little bambino and take more pictures of them. Here are my favorites!~
I thought I’d switch things up and post the images without the dynamic grid. Let me know which format you like better. I personally think this showcases the images better. If I could figure out how to make the grid larger, then it would be a close tie for me
Our fabulous fall didn’t disappoint for this sunset session at my clients home. They have an amazing view of the valley and had pastel pink skies with a clear cloudless sky. My little friend here showed me all the around the property and inside their gorgeous home. They have the best pantry door and cool lighting that I might have been drooling.
I also found out this little beauty’s favorite super hero is Superman just like her daddy. I watched her amazing moves on the trampoline, swinging like superman, and met all her chickens. Oh and her new little kitten. I can’t wait to see her again. It’s a pretty awesome time photographing friends.
Up next are some more families session. Just in time for mailing out cards.√
This is the second session for this adorable family. Their son was a newborn the last time I saw him. And now such a big boy who is about to turn the big 1! They had a vibrant day with gorgeous sun and fall color here in our small town. It was actually 70* here. Such an amazing October in the pacific Northwest. Of course we had their pup, Penny join in the fun and had a cake smash at the end.
I never know how one year olds will enjoy cake. Some like my son, never had a drop of sugar and don’t even like the sugary dessert. I tried not to let him have much sugar due to having gestational diabetes during my pregnancy. Others cry when they can’t have anymore. So I’m eager to watch how they react. This little guy was very pleased with the frosting.
I love getting to know these guys and all the ones from our town in the past few years. Some of the parks around are becoming very familiar. Duvall has so much for offer. We used the trail and the big park in downtown for our session. If you get a chance to come here make sure to stop at CCs Espresso for amazing ice cream and the awesome umbrella alley they put up. Also they had a great pumpkin patch with an awesome corn maze at the local Muddy Boots.
I have so many great recommendations to share. So here is one more. Your precious pup can be pampered at Best Buddy Dog wash. We have a high maintenance pooch and they calm her down and make her look like all fresh and posh. We LOVE them!
This little joy just turned One. It’s the second time I’ve take her pictures and she is a doll. She’s much more mobile now, but always smiling and happy. Now she really is a little barre baby climbing like her siblings. You can see that in one of these images below.
She LOVED her cake and devoured as much as she could. She wasn’t very happy to part with it. It was so cute. And sharing is caring. I watched her share quite nicely. What a sweetiepie!
We did this shoot even though the weather was less than ideal. The cabana used was covered and some shots were indoors. So don’t worry about dark rainy days. Window light is the best! And I see that next week the sun is coming back out. A great time to get your fall photos or your yearly card photos for the end of the year.
This amazing wedding story began by the click of a keyboard. I loved hearing about how they met online and found out they worked at the same company. After finding that out the lunch dates began and the rest is history.
They both know how to write beautifully and express their feelings completely. I was almost bawling during the speeches. But I held it together. Just some dust in my eye, I promise. 😉
These two are deeply, madly in love. Everyone around could feel it. The ceremony was touching and had an orchestra playing. Only a few drops of rain and much cooler temps than the crazy hot summer we experienced here. I loved the unique cake and all the decor that the bride handmade herself. Every detail had meaning and love infused within. What a joyous occasion with the intimate family and friends that came.
These two love to run the trail here and picked the venue so that every time they run they will be reminded of their union together. I love it!
I wish you both all the happiness you can embrace. Here is a preview of the day from me to all of you.
If these guys look familiar it’s because they are related to a family I shot over the summer a few blogs ago. They are also just as adorable and fun. And we took senior photos in the session too at my favorite location this year. We can still find all new backdrops here because these images were shot at a different time and it’s such a big place. Still so much more to explore here at Tolt McDonald. The sun does begin to hide behind the trees before sunset. And it’s amazingly beautiful.
It’s that time for senior photos for the class of 2018 already! As summer is flying by and school is about to begin again. Next on my schedule is a wedding and business headshots.
Last week, I photographed these two soul mates uniting as one in an intimate ceremony at the Salish lodge in Snoqualmie. The venue with the raging waterfalls and beautiful grounds set the tone as close family gathered to support them. I photographed this flower girl 7 years ago at my home. Now her family has grown and so much love surrounds her. All the details were beautiful and classic. What an honor to be a part of.
I wish you guys all the best. This is a tiny glimpse of the images I’m sending their way.
Another new life arrived for photographs this week. She was 21 days new. She brought along her adorable big sister who enjoyed all of Olivia’s toys and patiently waited her turn. We started at Lake Rasmussen which is a close to my place. It was as beautiful as ever there. This was also the first time big sis (she is two) got to hold her sister. It was very sweet to watch. She was very gentle and loving as you can see.
I used some very precious tie backs from Carli. The white fawn and the green ones are from her shop. If you are local and make newborn props message me. I’d love to add some more pretties to my collection.
Here are just a few of my favorites of this darling family.
