This is a very special maternity session with some dear friends. I’m so excited to see them journey into parenthood. They love adventure and I’m sure this little one will be on the mountain tops and in the woods straight away.
All the locations were on a road near their home. It was fun to see what we would find on the way out there. The creeping fog was an added bonus. And as you will see the graffiti was perfect. Also the pups about stole the show. They were adorable and loved the camera.
I can’t wait to meet this little bambino and take more pictures of them. Here are my favorites!~
Another new life arrived for photographs this week. She was 21 days new. She brought along her adorable big sister who enjoyed all of Olivia’s toys and patiently waited her turn. We started at Lake Rasmussen which is a close to my place. It was as beautiful as ever there. This was also the first time big sis (she is two) got to hold her sister. It was very sweet to watch. She was very gentle and loving as you can see.
I used some very precious tie backs from Carli. The white fawn and the green ones are from her shop. If you are local and make newborn props message me. I’d love to add some more pretties to my collection.
Here are just a few of my favorites of this darling family.
What a lovely family. How can I have the most amazing clients?! I think kind, amazing families stick close to other kind, amazing families. So I want to say THANK YOU for the referrals everyone! You are sending me such wonderful friends and family. I am forever grateful! I leave with a gigantic smile each time feeling renewed with joy and passion in my craft.
These angelic littles were so beautiful and adored each other. We played and giggled and I loved how the parents made them belly laugh. We explored a few different areas of my favorite location.
I hope you all are having a fabulous vacation. Between all my sessions you can find me at the beach or on the water.
It’s quite helpful for me when we have great weather. So sessions are in full force right now. I’ve opened up a time slot on Sunday mornings to help free up some time on Saturdays. This may work well for some of you.
I met this adorable family last weekend at one of my favorite parks to shoot at. It was an overcast day, which I personally love. I have more freedom to stand wherever I want and use up all the pretty backgrounds. And I thought I loved fall the most. Spring is just as beautiful.
These two boys sure have grown. Such polite little ones. They will be breaking hearts with those blue eyes!
Have you ever met someone and realized later that you had met previously? Well this happened to me with this beautiful mother. It had been about 6 years or so when her son was a young toddler. We met at a mutual friend’s baby shower. I guess I don’t forget faces. Especially ones that I’ve photographed. Names on the other hand I don’t have a clue two seconds after I’m told most of the time. I’ll have to try the rhyming game to get that down.
We had a great time together at the park running and exploring. Spring here is just as pretty as the fall with the willow trees and tiny budding flowers among the grass. Also along the boardwalk were a forest of ferns growing. It was beautiful. I want to go back and see more with my family soon.
And this baby with her tongue. Be still my heart. What a doll!!!
Ahhhh, the day it snowed was this little guy’s afternoon session. So after sledding, snowman building, snowball fights, and hot cocoa I headed over for my baby fix and met my neighbors.
The little guy was so content and happy. The moment he started to the fuss his daddy, the baby whisperer, had some amazing tricks that soothed him immediately. They also had a 10 month old puppy that was smitten by the new edition. He nuzzled him and laid gently beside him. It was so sweet to watch. I don’t think I’ve seen a dog behave with a newborn so well so young.
It was pretty much a perfect day for me. It was a gift. I followed up with one more session to close out 2016. What a wonderful year for my little business. Not every shoot was blogged, but if you look back I had quite of variety of sessions. Congratulations to the engagements, babies, weddings, and graduates this past year. It’s touches me deeply to observe all these life moments and to see your children grow each year. I’ve met so amazing people from all over our area. In fact, this was a funny encounter. As I went in to get my teeth cleaned over the summer I saw a previous coworker and friend who was finishing up her last patient that happened to be her son in law. She introduced us and I was like…. I know you. I had taken his headshot, a few months back, and worked along side him at a wedding a few years back. What are the chances we would have that connection. We live in such a small world sometimes.
Anyways, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all your support, kind works, referrals, and the hugs too. I hope to capture you all again next year.
One of my favorites family came back with a new edition to the family! She is so precious and snuggly! I could have played all afternoon with her. She was very alert the whole time. And big sister was loving on her. It was so adorable to watch.
I’m so happy for you guys! Thanks so much for having me back. It was so special that your parents were there too.
Here are some of my favorites. I may have a special fondness for newborn photos. There is just so much love around them beaming from everyone’s faces. The emotions are streaming all around too. I hope you guys enjoy these!
I love my little clients and I think it’s pretty mutual by the note above. What a great way to start off a session right! A little love note to little old me. Awwww….. ! After big hugs we hit up the family’s old stomping grounds. They showed me the coolest spots. I’m so thankful for that! Every place was more beautiful than the next.
We do yearly photos together and it’s always super fun. It’s not too early to book your family’s spring session. That time of the year books up fast. I thought I’d give you guys a head’s up. Since you are so awesome to come by and read my blog. Thanks so much!
I have returned from vacationing in sunny Mexico. Boy, it was great to feel the warmth of the sun on my body. But most of all I’m thankful that the four of us spent every second (well mostly) together for 8 days straight. We needed it and I’m sad to be back to the long hours away from my love. So I’m saturating my time editing photos. I have so much to share with you all. First, is this wonderful newborn session with a gorgeous family inside and out.
They welcomed a daughter the end of January. She is an oooshie gooshie delight. And big brother is loving her!!! She was smothered with love and kisses. So adored by her family. What a gift! I am very happy for them!
“When they placed you in my arms, you slipped into my heart.” ♥
Well after enjoying some yummy “moose tracks” ice cream I’m ready to show off some more gorgeous faces on the blog. I wish I could bottle up the energy that these two little ones have. I’m not sure the energizer bunny could keep up. 😉 Its good practice for me though. Because I also have a little mover and shaker on my hands. My little 10 month old will soon be walking or shall we say running.
This shoot was at their lovely home. It is perfect for these two to run and jump around to their heart’s content. This was the second time I’ve photographed the boys. So I was pretty excited to shoot them all. The littlest one was so into the session. I LOVED it! They are both just way too cute!
I can’t even tell you guys how much I love the freedom you give me with these lifestyle sessions. Each time I walk away with my permagrin smile that I’m sure was there the whole two hours. Thank you all for supporting me!!
Here are my favorites of some of my favorites!
Well normally I would put my thank you on the end of my blog post, but for some reason word press is not cooperating.
So anyways, I wanted to thank Kyle and Tasha so much!
You are wonderful hands on parents. I can see how much the boys love you both! I feel like they would be great at sports with all that energy and climbing ability.
