Happy Spring everyone! This is the second time I’ve been able to plan a shoot at the exquisite cherry blossoms in full bloom at the university. Although, it felt like a million people around it was worth the commotion for the beautiful surroundings.
The day didn’t quite start off that great. My husband had sprained his ankle and had to go to an urgent care clinic. Thank goodness I can call my mom to save the day. She watched the kids and my crippled hubby on crutches while I headed out. Mom….I owe you one!!
Driving to Seattle I was able to refocus and relax while walking to meet my clients. This session was a combination of an engagement, family, and head shots. I look forward now to the wedding in the fall at the Hollywood Schoolhouse. I know they will be making each other laugh and enjoying every minute that day. Their love radiates around them. I was no match with my one liners. I think I’ll be learning some new ones. I was cracking up.
Here’s my highlights of some wonderful people!
I can vouch that its hard watching kids grow up. This girl I have watched from birth. It’s crazy to me that it’s really this time in her life to get married. If it’s this hard to watch a little sister you know how hard it must be to let go and watch your own child.
Growing up I had a couple who were always and still are there for me. We are the best of friends. They have become family that I treasure. And I hope to be that for these two. I love them dearly. They are a wonderful pair that I am very proud of. The future is bright and rich awaiting them. And the ceremony is only a few weeks away now.
What a summer we’ve been having. 2014 has been such a memorable one. Starting with all the volunteering with our International Convention here at Husky Stadium. Meeting our brothers and sisters from around the world. What a joy! You can find images from all the events at Seattledelegates.com . For me that took up the first half of summer. It was an experience I’ll never forget and cherish forever. And now it’s been beach days with the kiddos non stop. Pure Bliss! ♥
Here is one of my recent sessions. I had such a lovely time with these two lovebirds. Oh to be young and in love….. I have one of the two of those still. ;) I want to congratulate them on getting engaged! They are super sweet match. And their dog Muffin was part of the fun.
Here’s my favorites. Some photos shot at the falls and the others in the town of Snoqualmie.
Thank you so much Kathy and Teresa for a wonderful gift!
Another session at the golden hour. And to have photographed a lovely, beautiful family. What a lucky lady I am!
We corresponded over a year ago about this session and it was worth the wait. I had such a fun time with them and the kiddos. Denny Park has such beautiful scenery! It was such a clear day and not too crowded. It’s a great beach to take the kids on a hot summer day. It’s composed of 46 acres. There are four fields along the Lake Washington waterfront between Holmes Point Drive and Lake Washington. On the other side of the road are several trails through the woods. Winding up the Denny Creek Ravine, you are surrounded by tall trees of our native forest. We used the huge magnolia tree and the bridges along the pathway. Also there is a playground for the kids to play.
I had a lot of fun playing with the sun in our pics. So here are my favorites! Enjoy!♥
Thank you so much Roland and Rebecca! You have wonderful kiddos. I could see you are great parents and so in love.
I couldn’t ask for better people to be around!
I have a very special session I get to post today. This lovely couple asked about going to the Seattle Olympic Sculpture park during the golden hour. What more could I possibly ask for?!
Yep, I am one lucky lady! The images speak for themselves. We had a FUN time! Enjoy!
Thank you so much George and Laya! You came with so many wonderful ideas. We could have hung out all evening.
I feel like an old friend now. Thanks for sharing your love!
Where to begin on a love story….
It began for me the day I married my best friend. And for my dear friend, Cami, I think this is the start to her story. The day life’s journey really begins. The day you declare your love in front of the world and never look back. I’m still choked up from just being a viewer of the days events. I’m just a romantic that never gets tired of the gestures from the heart. Everything is out in the open on a wedding day. The embrace, the kiss, the tears….everything.
So here’s the story in pictures for you all to imagine.
These images are just a tease really of the 900 more that were taken. I hope you all saw a glimmer of what I did.

I love you, Cami! You found your prince charming and your happily ever after. Here’s to forever!
Seeing and feeling another person’s happiness can be contagious. You walk away feeling butterflies yourself! And the couple below is very special to me. Cami is one of my oldest friends. She was a bridesmaid in my own wedding so many years ago. So I have countless memories to share about her and I. We go as far back as Junior High. You know, the awkward goofy time in life.
My first memory of us is a camping trip. We of course got in trouble one night singing “American Pie” with some older neighboring campers. I just smile thinking about it….. We are also connected by the loss of some amazing loved ones in our lives. So we have a very strong friendship that will always be there. No matter how much time passes or life changes our friendship picks up right where it left off. Whatever she needs I’ll be there!
I hope you guys enjoy my favorite images! Our location is the Bear Creek Country Club. This also brings back many memories for me since I worked here as a banquet server back in the college days. I had a lot of fun at that job!
I am so excited about your wedding. I am so honored to photograph your special day! You two are such a great match! I wish you the happiness you both deserve forever! LOVE you! XOXO
I can’t believe how great its been to have a little home studio. Seattle is just too cold, rainy, and snowy???? I do have to say it also has a great amount of overcast days that make for the best lighting. So even when we are in studio we can pop outside at some point for a couple outdoor shots. It becomes a perfect combo with lots of interesting settings.
I have to say that I’m ditching this weather for the 85° degrees in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. So I promise a future post full of warmth and sandy beaches. Oh and lots of smiling faces! But before I go I wanted to share an adorable couple with a bun in the oven! They make me want to smile. Plus, they told me they thought I was younger than I am. Now that’s a good complement, isn’t it!!!!
Oh and I wanted to really share my appreciation to everyone coming to this blog site, making Facebook comments, and the referrals. My goodness you guys are making this easy for me. Instead of all the marketing that I would need to do, I get to shoot, edit, and express my thoughts this way. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
One more thank you to D’ann and Tyrell! I can’t wait to meet your little baby. I remember the day Dylan came into my life like it was yesterday. Get ready to fall head over heels for her! I hope all goes well in the next 8 weeks!
So many changes are coming up folks. The summer is ending and school starting. Since I only have one child, who is starting the first grade, I’ll be left alone all day. That sound fantastic, but my mind is in panic mode. And I want to fill my time wisely. So I’m hoping to book more clients during this ever so valuable time, hence my Back to School Special. I’ll be volunteering at school and spending more time in my ministry. I’ll also be trying things I never had before~like canning. So here’s to change.
The family in this post is about the sweetest family you could meet. As we spend more time together I have this feeling we are going to be life long friends. Our friendship, in my eyes, is such a positive one. I always feel good, laugh, and are motivated to be a better person afterwards.
We headed to one of my favorite childhood parks, Farrel-Mcwhirter Farm Park in Redmond. This park has animals to pet, huge areas of grass, and trails to explore. They have a great preschool there too that some of my friends have sent their children too. There is actually quite the waiting list if you want to get in.
Here are some of my favorites from our session together.
I appreciate so much that you guys came to me for your family pictures! Your kids are so creative with all their ideas for shots and you guys were too. I love a collaboration! Finding that tractor was a sweet surprise too. I couldn’t ask for better support. Thank you~thank you~thank you!
Do you have a party coming up?
I love to be a fly on the wall snapping special moments. Moments that you could forget if they weren’t documented that day. This party was a 30th wedding anniversary with love oozing everywhere. We did a ton of formal shots in our live photo booth set up, but I wanted to share some of the candids and a few of the details. There were eye candy all over. If you’d like to see the formals and more of the party go here.
Priceless= having a great laugh with a friend
a 30 year romance
This picture reads a thousands words for sure
A huge thank you to Mike and Prins for asking me to capture this party! I am honored to be around so much joy.
