Can you even stand how adorable this family is! I am so happy they came to me for there portraits. They are some more out-of-towners visiting family and scheduled a shoot. I photographed the mom some years back before marriage and her adorable baby girl came along.
They brought along the adorable props. The childhood heirloom chair, the giant pink balloon~I’m obsessed. I think the 8-12 months age is just heaven. They can’t run from me yet! Everything that comes in their path is amazement and wonder. I wish I could share the entire session!
I’m excited to share this gorgeous event that was filled with love and laughter, warm hearts, generous gifts, and mouth watering taco truck food. This location was at a private home that was remodeled recently with exquisite taste. Her views are stunning! I was referred by a previous client. Thank you so much Heidi for the recommendation. (Her wedding to quickly approaching.)
Zach and Darcy don’t live here in Seattle so the family had a celebration for them and their engagement. So this summer they will say their “I dos” in a different state. They are adorable. And I really enjoyed meeting all these great people. Thank you Laurie for your hospitality and kindness.
I was able to photograph this sweetheart thanks to an online referral on a Facebook discussion board for Bellevue. I have no idea who that was, but I am so thankful. I really want to thank all my clients for all their referrals. You guys are so appreciated!! I feel like it’s the absolute best way to find the best clients.
I adore these three. Emma was such a sleepy dream. I love those wrinkled elbows and shoulders. LOVE them! I am really able to get my baby fix with these little tiny humans. The little cries and facial expressions are so sweet. I miss that. So I hope this gives you guys that little “baby fix” as well.
This family introduced me to this awesome park in North Seattle. It has a beautiful beach with acres to explore and the trains pass through every hour. So the kids were mesmerized. We hiked a little of the trails during our session. I can’t wait to go back and adventure further up. We also saw the bubble man getting ready for a show. So much fun will be had here at Carkeek Park.
What a wonderful family! I can tell the outdoors are their place of choice. We found lots of creatures and interesting rocks, moss, leaves, bridges, and watched the mass of sailboats. My kind of morning!
Here are some of my highlights in the glorious, sunny, Seattle day.
I haven’t been to this location since I was a little girl. If you want a great place to people watch. I recommend checking out Golden Gardens in Seattle. There are some spots that are private here too because it’s such a huge park. And you can have a bon fire on the beach here!
I met this lovely trio at the beach. We started right off throwing rocks in the water and explored the whole park. One of the highlights were the baby duckies we saw and the caterpillar infestation. They were literally all over the place. Which was pretty cool, especially for a two year old. I’m sure there are a ton of butterflies there now.
I really had a great time with this family. I even brought my own kids, who were off playing with Daddy while I shot the family. And then after we were done our kids played together.
What a bunch of cuties right!! I had a cousin shoot recently which is a wonderful idea for the family gift. What else can you get your parents that they would treasure forever and can’t get themselves. Their grandchildren’s beaming faces is one such gift. I’ve done this personally and it’s perfect.
We went to Heritage Park in Kirkland above the waterfront. It’s great it you want a dry place for the kiddos and still see the water. Also a great place to take your pooch.
Each of these cuties is full of energy,as you’ll see, and big contagious smiles. I hope you all enjoy the lifestyle shoot.
Here we are on a late Sunday night blogging away. The weather has been changing so we’ll be back outside soon. But we’ve had a baby boom in my business. All the sessions have been little newborns lately. And I’m LOVING it. You guys are welcome to bring over as many as possible!
This little one was so content. The parents were natural pros, adoring her every minute. I noticed they were crafty and creative when I arrived at their home. So we incorporated some of the décor into the shoot. They also had homemade headbands made up ready to use. I was impressed. So here is just a glimpse of our session of oooshie gooshie dreamy baby bliss. Awwww……
And here’s a huge thank you to Andrea for giving this gift to the family. What a wonderful friend you are to be so generous! You are a gem!
A little rain and construction never got in the way for this session. I’m so glad because the colors outside were brilliant. We decided on the Bothell Landing Park in Bothell even though it’s currently been a construction zone. You can still make your way down to the park. And hopefully the area will be done next year.
It’s amazing how people cross your lives several times a lifetime. The husband of this family and I were camping one summer together in our childhood. And I’m sure there were other times our families got together. So now 20+ years later we cross paths again. Pretty amazing huh?!
They are a lovely family of 4. I really enjoyed getting to know them. I loved how imaginative the kids were and full of ideas too.
I have a few more favorites that usual because I just loved the expressions so much.♥
Thank you so much Melissa and Carl. You have a wonderful family and I feel so happy to know you guys! Let’s play in the rain again!
FUN.Spunk.LAUGHTER.thrill.SERENITY.adventure.LOVE. This describes how our session went
This little one was the most entertaining 3-year-old I think I’ve photographed. I can tell she is on her way to becoming a musician. She sings, plays piano and guitar, and knows how to play air guitar. That was pretty impressive. I just loved following her around in her own element. Her smile is simply contagious. Oh how I love to make new friends with such wonderful children! And their parents are pretty cool too.
I am hoping to do a personal post soon. I’ve just been busy with sessions lately and I’m trying to keep up. I’m one of those annoying people who can’t let work pile up on my desk. I will have an internal meltdown. So soon I’ll share my pics and news. So for now I hope you enjoy these images of a really cool kid.
Thank you so much Shannon for having me come to your awesome place. Your house is so beautiful inside and out. I just loved your style. And if I run across some good garage sales I’ll text you. You have an amazing daughter with so much spunk and personality. I just adore her. I was so glad to spend time with you both.
I hope everyone is having a fabulous labor day weekend! I’ve been trying to cram everything in. Every year we usually hit up the Evergreen State Fair. There we eat fair food until we’re sick and then go on some rides so we can feel even worse. Why do we do this to ourselves?! Well the scones were really good and that elephant ear…..
Last week this little cutie was back. And for the entire session she was so happy and content. She did not cry once for all the modeling she did. I wish I could play with her more. She is soooooo adorable. And she’s already a Husky fan!
Here is just a couple of my favorite images from the different set ups we had going. Go Tuzla!
Angela, thank you so much for coming back with your precious baby girl! She is sugar and spice and everything nice! I just adore her!
