I’m very excited to share this session with you guys. It’s full of joy, laughter, love, energy, and one serious baby. I met this family through a referral of one of their sisters. Since they were such a lovely family I was not surprised to find out these guys were also awesome.
We literally had one beautiful sunny pacific northwest fall day that we happened to pick for the session. At the park there were at least 3 other photo shoots happening at the same time. I had to ask if I could borrow a tree another group was using. That’s a first for me. They were taking a break so we claimed the tree.
And today happens to be another beautiful day so I’m off for another family session. But first I hope you love my highlights. I have so many great images these guys received three times my ballpark number promised. I wish I could share them all but that would take you guys forever to look through. So here are a few to peruse.
After a few private sessions I have one I can share. If you are ever wondering about keeping your session private please ask. I have password protection and can skip the social media and blogging-no problemo!
Look who has turned two! My little doll faced client and friend. She has a adorably expressive personality with loads of energy. I was tired, but I did manage to wear her out enough for a nap afterwards. Which made her parents very happy and they followed suit and joined her.
I loved meeting their new little kitty who loved the balloons. He was so sweet and snuggly. And dad joined in the session today. What’s sweeter than little girls and their daddies?!
Here are the highlights. I wish I could share every image. I just loved them all.
Can you even stand how adorable this family is! I am so happy they came to me for there portraits. They are some more out-of-towners visiting family and scheduled a shoot. I photographed the mom some years back before marriage and her adorable baby girl came along.
They brought along the adorable props. The childhood heirloom chair, the giant pink balloon~I’m obsessed. I think the 8-12 months age is just heaven. They can’t run from me yet! Everything that comes in their path is amazement and wonder. I wish I could share the entire session!
I’m excited to share this gorgeous event that was filled with love and laughter, warm hearts, generous gifts, and mouth watering taco truck food. This location was at a private home that was remodeled recently with exquisite taste. Her views are stunning! I was referred by a previous client. Thank you so much Heidi for the recommendation. (Her wedding to quickly approaching.)
Zach and Darcy don’t live here in Seattle so the family had a celebration for them and their engagement. So this summer they will say their “I dos” in a different state. They are adorable. And I really enjoyed meeting all these great people. Thank you Laurie for your hospitality and kindness.
I was able to photograph this sweetheart thanks to an online referral on a Facebook discussion board for Bellevue. I have no idea who that was, but I am so thankful. I really want to thank all my clients for all their referrals. You guys are so appreciated!! I feel like it’s the absolute best way to find the best clients.
I adore these three. Emma was such a sleepy dream. I love those wrinkled elbows and shoulders. LOVE them! I am really able to get my baby fix with these little tiny humans. The little cries and facial expressions are so sweet. I miss that. So I hope this gives you guys that little “baby fix” as well.
This family introduced me to this awesome park in North Seattle. It has a beautiful beach with acres to explore and the trains pass through every hour. So the kids were mesmerized. We hiked a little of the trails during our session. I can’t wait to go back and adventure further up. We also saw the bubble man getting ready for a show. So much fun will be had here at Carkeek Park.
What a wonderful family! I can tell the outdoors are their place of choice. We found lots of creatures and interesting rocks, moss, leaves, bridges, and watched the mass of sailboats. My kind of morning!
Here are some of my highlights in the glorious, sunny, Seattle day.
Happy Spring everyone! This is the second time I’ve been able to plan a shoot at the exquisite cherry blossoms in full bloom at the university. Although, it felt like a million people around it was worth the commotion for the beautiful surroundings.
The day didn’t quite start off that great. My husband had sprained his ankle and had to go to an urgent care clinic. Thank goodness I can call my mom to save the day. She watched the kids and my crippled hubby on crutches while I headed out. Mom….I owe you one!!
Driving to Seattle I was able to refocus and relax while walking to meet my clients. This session was a combination of an engagement, family, and head shots. I look forward now to the wedding in the fall at the Hollywood Schoolhouse. I know they will be making each other laugh and enjoying every minute that day. Their love radiates around them. I was no match with my one liners. I think I’ll be learning some new ones. I was cracking up.
My first new little lady to meet is Josie. What a real little dolly. She’s three weeks new on this day. A very alert and curious sweetheart. It was a dark overcast day, but we captured the little light we could. Of course now we have summer weather happening here in the PNW. Weather is sure a gamble in these parts. We played, snuggled, wrapped, unwrapped, and played some more. I thought it was super cute that she liked to be sitting up when changing outfits. I like a girl that knows what she wants! 😉
So here is a new layout for the images I’m giving a try. I have some new upgrades that I have purchased so feel free to private message me feedback. I have a new online gallery that is superior to the old format. So make sure you check it out. I do not have all the older sessions uploaded. However, if you would like to have yours up to see what cool things you can now purchase just let me know.
This was my last session of 2015. How did that just happen?! Feels like yesterday right!
I have had someone inquire why I’m not posting at much. Am I busy? So if that was on your mind, here is the answer. I have been very busy making memories!! My daily photography is now mostly on Instagram of my family life instead of all the clients I have. Some do ask to be excluded from social media and I respect that. I do not post headshots. I like to post my portrait sessions just not the single business photo unless it’s a lifestyle shoot. I do have an Instagram for my business @amber.lee.photography which is for the most part the same as the Facebook page. There may be a few posts that are different. But overall they are the same. Keeping up on all these outlets is a lot of work. But I like the challenge. My blog is slowly catching up. I have one more session to blog currently.
There will be some changes I’m implementing for 2016. My family is my priority. That has never changed, but my husband is now home on the weekends. So vacations and time with my family is very precious to me. So if I turn a job down please know I want to help you out, but I can’t. I have a wonderful reason. I may include some mini sessions in the spring and fall to help you guys get your sessions in. I will be booking clients for the afternoon or sundown depending on the time of year. Mornings will be taken for my ministry. I really appreciate all of you that can book a weekday. That’s when I have the most free time. And I am reserving Sundays for myself. I will not be booking on those days. It feels good to make some new goals and have a clean schedule. I look forward to shooting you this year!
Welcome to the busiest time of the year for my little business. So that’s why I’m just now posting this session and the following.
This guy is a friend of mine that I have photographed in the past as he played with his band. He is a very talented musician, singer, & song writer. I really enjoy his music. Hit him up for guitar lessons. He can teach beginner to advanced students. If you want more information contact me and I’ll pass it along.
I do have a funny little story about our session too. Somehow along the way a cell phone went missing and since I was the last call the fuzz started calling me. I was pretty oblivious saying, “What do you mean Josh….what…what are you talking about??” My blonde roots were taking over so I didn’t realize what they were saying to me. I composed myself to meet the officers on bikes and retrieved the missing phone. So when my friend walked up and saw the cell phone waving in the hand it was pretty funny. I now can add magician to my resume. I guess I need to keep the secrets of my ways a secret for that to work.
