There are two things in this world that can make you better when you are feeling blue….puppies and babies. When this joy arrived I was at the lowest of lows in my personal life. We tragically lost a family member at the end of January. Time stood still for a very long time. So seeing this little babe was just what the doctor ordered. He has a perfect face with perfect skin and he had lots of smiles for me. His parents unknowingly gave me a gift. The gift of a much needed distraction. I will forever be grateful for that time I spent with Samuel on his ninth day of life.
I’m ready to come back and play. I have a weakness for the newbies. They turn me to mush and my face hurts from the constant smiling. I get the butterflies and numbness in my arms because I’ve held them too long and my biceps arent toned up. I love everything about these kinds of sessions.
Here’s a little man who stole my heart. He’ll call me Aunty. And I may spoil him because that’s what Aunties do. My daughter is also obsessed with him and all the things she will teach him to do and to eat. She talks about him daily. There is something special about cousins isn’t there.
Since I know his Daddy really well, I knew what theme would be perfect~ A tiny little fisherman. I had the little outfit for months waiting his arrival. The adorable knit outfit is from https://www.etsy.com/shop/HatCharacters?ref=below-listing-title. The fishing rod detail is amazing. I wish I had knitting skills like that.
Ahhhh, the day it snowed was this little guy’s afternoon session. So after sledding, snowman building, snowball fights, and hot cocoa I headed over for my baby fix and met my neighbors.
The little guy was so content and happy. The moment he started to the fuss his daddy, the baby whisperer, had some amazing tricks that soothed him immediately. They also had a 10 month old puppy that was smitten by the new edition. He nuzzled him and laid gently beside him. It was so sweet to watch. I don’t think I’ve seen a dog behave with a newborn so well so young.
It was pretty much a perfect day for me. It was a gift. I followed up with one more session to close out 2016. What a wonderful year for my little business. Not every shoot was blogged, but if you look back I had quite of variety of sessions. Congratulations to the engagements, babies, weddings, and graduates this past year. It’s touches me deeply to observe all these life moments and to see your children grow each year. I’ve met so amazing people from all over our area. In fact, this was a funny encounter. As I went in to get my teeth cleaned over the summer I saw a previous coworker and friend who was finishing up her last patient that happened to be her son in law. She introduced us and I was like…. I know you. I had taken his headshot, a few months back, and worked along side him at a wedding a few years back. What are the chances we would have that connection. We live in such a small world sometimes.
Anyways, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for all your support, kind works, referrals, and the hugs too. I hope to capture you all again next year.
This little miss will steal your heart. She’s 10 days new, all cuddly and sweet. A little miracle for her lovely parents. She didn’t want to catch many zzzzzs while I was there. She was very inquisitive and curious about what was happening. So we used some tricks and tried some new poses out.
I love when the parents are included in the session. It’s so beautiful to see the love beaming from their faces. I tear up seeing that. I just try to hide my emotions so I can focus.
I am not liable for any baby fever you have after you look through these images!!
I’d like you guys to meet a couple of miracles I know. These two are so special to me…. I couldn’t possibly know where to begin except it’s a miracle they are both here with both of their parents. I cry just thinking about it. For awareness sake, this is the condition that almost took everything from them.
But here they are healthy and happy today. They are surrounded by loving family and friends, thriving with happiness.
We all hug our babies a little tighter and longer because of them. I love you guys!
Oh little Blaiz…..What a cutie! What can I say about the sweet pureness of being only a few days old. He’s another perfect little being. I just wanted to cuddle him. I was so excited when the family asked to come back with baby number two. He has a lovely big sis watching over him and wonderful parents. He was wide awake for most of the session which I am partial to. I love newborns awake and asleep. I love their curious nature and innocence.
So I ooohhhhed and ahhhhhhed over him
And came up with this batch of favorites. I hope you have some ooooohhhhs and ahhhhs too.
Here we are on a late Sunday night blogging away. The weather has been changing so we’ll be back outside soon. But we’ve had a baby boom in my business. All the sessions have been little newborns lately. And I’m LOVING it. You guys are welcome to bring over as many as possible!
This little one was so content. The parents were natural pros, adoring her every minute. I noticed they were crafty and creative when I arrived at their home. So we incorporated some of the décor into the shoot. They also had homemade headbands made up ready to use. I was impressed. So here is just a glimpse of our session of oooshie gooshie dreamy baby bliss. Awwww……
And here’s a huge thank you to Andrea for giving this gift to the family. What a wonderful friend you are to be so generous! You are a gem!
Life is such a miracle and blessing. I really treasure each time I’m allowed into a family’s first moments experiencing their new lives with that new miracle. It’s as if life stands still for me in those two hours. I’m lost in the warm and happy environment playing and snuggling the soft skin. So I’m grateful to all the families inviting me in their lives. You guys have touched my heart.
I love this little guy. I hope you guys enjoy what I captured of his family.
I can’t help but wonder what big sis was telling her little brother!
Baby smiles are the best!
Thank you Mandy and Eric! Congratulations on having such a wonderful addition.
It’s great to see my brother’s childhood friend grow up to be such a wonderful father. xoxo
I’m thoroughly enjoying my time with my new little love. I may be biased, but I think she is perfect in every way. Her arrival came Wednesday, April 10th at 11:57am. She was 7lbs and 9oz, 21 inches long. My labor took about 5 hours after getting to the hospital. And I am very proud of myself for going el natural till the very end. I got an epidural right at the end. You know the saying 8 is too late. Well I was already at 10cm. However feeling some pain helped me during the pushing. So she came out without the 3 hour ordeal I experience with my son. She also came out without the vacuum or forceps. So I really had a good experience this time.
She is surrounded by such a loving family. She is snuggled by them everyday! What more could I ask for?!!! Life is beautiful! I hope you enjoy a glance at our beautiful experience!♥♥♥
What’s more precious that new life only 8 days new. No matter what you may be going through in life it stops for a moment and your endorphins fill with joy. That little one has such happiness in a teeny package and when we hold them we get that little piece of their joy too. It fills our heart to the brim with gushing emotions. I am so thankful for these moments. My troubles vanish and I get caught up in the excitement of new life. I am extremely thankful to have met this little baby girl.
She was so content during our session together. And these are my favorites.
Thank you so much D’ann and Tyrell! Making your book was really a highlight for me. I can’t wait to see it!
Your baby girl is so beautiful and such a blessing. She really is your little Sunshine!!!
