It’s so great to photograph friends. This is my third session with these guys and these kiddos are just beaming ear to ear with smiles and giggles and energy. I love these ages. they can rock a pose without even a flinch. We can climb trees and play games and harass mom and dad. They can tell me jokes and family secrets. So what is there not to love.
We had Grandma is town so she got to join in the fun. And a little snake photo bomber came out at just the right time. I love the outfit colors too.
I hope that you guys are having a great summer. If you are considering a fall session for your family call or email me soon. The weekends are filling up. I’m also happy to book winter and spring now as well. Up next are families, a newborn session, and an intimate wedding.
I got a call from this adorable family living in Texas who were going to be visiting their parents and wanted to have pictures done while they were here. What a fabulous idea in case you were wondering how to make your next trip memorable for yourselves.
They were fun and the kids definitely knew what to do. They were quite the pros. We are back at one of my favorite spots. And as many times as I shoot here we never run of out backdrops!
I hope you all are having a fabulous summer! We just came back from Portland and ate our way through town. And the no tax shopping wasn’t bad either. Next up with be our “Don’t Give Up!” regional convention, a spiritual three-day feast. It will be a time to meditate, pray, and self examine myself. I look forward to this time of the year with my family and close friends. If you’re curious about this check it out here.
Here are my favorites images of my favorite Texans~
I’m excited to share this gorgeous event that was filled with love and laughter, warm hearts, generous gifts, and mouth watering taco truck food. This location was at a private home that was remodeled recently with exquisite taste. Her views are stunning! I was referred by a previous client. Thank you so much Heidi for the recommendation. (Her wedding to quickly approaching.)
Zach and Darcy don’t live here in Seattle so the family had a celebration for them and their engagement. So this summer they will say their “I dos” in a different state. They are adorable. And I really enjoyed meeting all these great people. Thank you Laurie for your hospitality and kindness.
I haven’t been to this location since I was a little girl. If you want a great place to people watch. I recommend checking out Golden Gardens in Seattle. There are some spots that are private here too because it’s such a huge park. And you can have a bon fire on the beach here!
I met this lovely trio at the beach. We started right off throwing rocks in the water and explored the whole park. One of the highlights were the baby duckies we saw and the caterpillar infestation. They were literally all over the place. Which was pretty cool, especially for a two year old. I’m sure there are a ton of butterflies there now.
I really had a great time with this family. I even brought my own kids, who were off playing with Daddy while I shot the family. And then after we were done our kids played together.
It’s wonderful to watch your clients growing families. Since newborns, I have been capturing these two. They are just about perfect every time. I don’t even have to run to chase them. :)- I did however, try out a new product I have to capture their attention. I used a camera lens buddy off Etsy. And it worked like a charm. If you have the time you could knit one for yourself pretty easily.
This location is right by my house. This works well to have some studio shots and outdoor shots in the colder weather months. So then the kiddos are only outside for around a half an hour or so. Here are a few of my favorites from our session.
I hope you all enjoy your time off with your families this weekend. AND….. Go Hawks!!
I’d like you guys to meet a couple of miracles I know. These two are so special to me…. I couldn’t possibly know where to begin except it’s a miracle they are both here with both of their parents. I cry just thinking about it. For awareness sake, this is the condition that almost took everything from them.
But here they are healthy and happy today. They are surrounded by loving family and friends, thriving with happiness.
We all hug our babies a little tighter and longer because of them. I love you guys!
I have returned from vacationing in sunny Mexico. Boy, it was great to feel the warmth of the sun on my body. But most of all I’m thankful that the four of us spent every second (well mostly) together for 8 days straight. We needed it and I’m sad to be back to the long hours away from my love. So I’m saturating my time editing photos. I have so much to share with you all. First, is this wonderful newborn session with a gorgeous family inside and out.
They welcomed a daughter the end of January. She is an oooshie gooshie delight. And big brother is loving her!!! She was smothered with love and kisses. So adored by her family. What a gift! I am very happy for them!
“When they placed you in my arms, you slipped into my heart.” ♥
Well after enjoying some yummy “moose tracks” ice cream I’m ready to show off some more gorgeous faces on the blog. I wish I could bottle up the energy that these two little ones have. I’m not sure the energizer bunny could keep up. 😉 Its good practice for me though. Because I also have a little mover and shaker on my hands. My little 10 month old will soon be walking or shall we say running.
This shoot was at their lovely home. It is perfect for these two to run and jump around to their heart’s content. This was the second time I’ve photographed the boys. So I was pretty excited to shoot them all. The littlest one was so into the session. I LOVED it! They are both just way too cute!
I can’t even tell you guys how much I love the freedom you give me with these lifestyle sessions. Each time I walk away with my permagrin smile that I’m sure was there the whole two hours. Thank you all for supporting me!!
Here are my favorites of some of my favorites!
Well normally I would put my thank you on the end of my blog post, but for some reason word press is not cooperating.
So anyways, I wanted to thank Kyle and Tasha so much!
You are wonderful hands on parents. I can see how much the boys love you both! I feel like they would be great at sports with all that energy and climbing ability.
This is a very special session for me. I decided to auction off a session to a charity event for Cottage Lake Elementary School. And this sweet family ended up winning. So we had a blast with the family and their doggies at a local park. It was fun to relay that I went to that school when I was young. And I currently have family and friends also attending that school. So it was a feel good time all around.
We were lucky to still have fall hanging around during the session despite the wind storm last week.
Here are my favorites!!
My thanks go to Nellie for bidding on my session. You have a wonderful family! I wish you the best on your new adventures. A big thank you to Teresa for hooking me up with the school event. And thanks to Cottage Lake Elementary for supporting local businesses in this way.
Fall has been so brilliant this year. Saturated with rich color from all our sunshine! We have thoroughly be enjoying ourselves. One of the highlights for us was a visit to Bob’s corn maze. I would probably never make it out so I always bring along someone with a good sense of direction and mapping skills.
I recently saw one of my favorite little clients along with her whole family. She is chalk full of personality. I even kept some of the outtakes for the family because were too good to miss. We explored more of their property which has changed (I can see they’ve been working hard) since the last time I was out about a year ago. They have the perfect spot with privacy galore, a stream, and tons of running space. Any kid would be in heaven here, big or small.
We ended the session with headshots for mama. I wanted to let you all know that I do that type of work and can make it a combo like I did for this family.
♥Here’s my favorites♥
Thank you so much Shannon for having me photograph you and your family.
You’re beautiful inside and out. I love your sweet little girlie and all the animals.
