This is the second session for this adorable family. Their son was a newborn the last time I saw him. And now such a big boy who is about to turn the big 1! They had a vibrant day with gorgeous sun and fall color here in our small town. It was actually 70* here. Such an amazing October in the pacific Northwest. Of course we had their pup, Penny join in the fun and had a cake smash at the end.
I never know how one year olds will enjoy cake. Some like my son, never had a drop of sugar and don’t even like the sugary dessert. I tried not to let him have much sugar due to having gestational diabetes during my pregnancy. Others cry when they can’t have anymore. So I’m eager to watch how they react. This little guy was very pleased with the frosting.
I love getting to know these guys and all the ones from our town in the past few years. Some of the parks around are becoming very familiar. Duvall has so much for offer. We used the trail and the big park in downtown for our session. If you get a chance to come here make sure to stop at CCs Espresso for amazing ice cream and the awesome umbrella alley they put up. Also they had a great pumpkin patch with an awesome corn maze at the local Muddy Boots.
I have so many great recommendations to share. So here is one more. Your precious pup can be pampered at Best Buddy Dog wash. We have a high maintenance pooch and they calm her down and make her look like all fresh and posh. We LOVE them!
This little joy just turned One. It’s the second time I’ve take her pictures and she is a doll. She’s much more mobile now, but always smiling and happy. Now she really is a little barre baby climbing like her siblings. You can see that in one of these images below.
She LOVED her cake and devoured as much as she could. She wasn’t very happy to part with it. It was so cute. And sharing is caring. I watched her share quite nicely. What a sweetiepie!
We did this shoot even though the weather was less than ideal. The cabana used was covered and some shots were indoors. So don’t worry about dark rainy days. Window light is the best! And I see that next week the sun is coming back out. A great time to get your fall photos or your yearly card photos for the end of the year.
What a lovely family. How can I have the most amazing clients?! I think kind, amazing families stick close to other kind, amazing families. So I want to say THANK YOU for the referrals everyone! You are sending me such wonderful friends and family. I am forever grateful! I leave with a gigantic smile each time feeling renewed with joy and passion in my craft.
These angelic littles were so beautiful and adored each other. We played and giggled and I loved how the parents made them belly laugh. We explored a few different areas of my favorite location.
I hope you all are having a fabulous vacation. Between all my sessions you can find me at the beach or on the water.
This little cutie was back for her one year photos. The highlight of course was the cake smash. It was exploding with cuteness for me to watch her devour her cupcake. She didn’t hesitate for a second to begin digging in. Just a few crumbs remained.
Since the weather had been so terrible, dark, and rainy I’ve had many of my sessions postpone in hopes of the sun making an appearance. But this doll could come hang in the studio. So we had no problems capturing her curious nature and that million dollar smile (I had that saying said about my daughter so it makes me laugh inside to write it out with the memory attached to her too).
After a year goes by you see this totally different tiny human arrive. It’s really amazing. One thing remained the same, however, her sweet happy nature and the joy in her mamas eyes as she watches her. I’m sure I have the most obnoxious smile on my smile observing. So pay no attention to my expressions while I photograph you. Inside my head I’m screaming I LOVE MY JOB! Next up are a couple of family sessions. So make sure to come back for a peek.
Can you even stand how adorable this family is! I am so happy they came to me for there portraits. They are some more out-of-towners visiting family and scheduled a shoot. I photographed the mom some years back before marriage and her adorable baby girl came along.
They brought along the adorable props. The childhood heirloom chair, the giant pink balloon~I’m obsessed. I think the 8-12 months age is just heaven. They can’t run from me yet! Everything that comes in their path is amazement and wonder. I wish I could share the entire session!
I was able to photograph this sweetheart thanks to an online referral on a Facebook discussion board for Bellevue. I have no idea who that was, but I am so thankful. I really want to thank all my clients for all their referrals. You guys are so appreciated!! I feel like it’s the absolute best way to find the best clients.
I adore these three. Emma was such a sleepy dream. I love those wrinkled elbows and shoulders. LOVE them! I am really able to get my baby fix with these little tiny humans. The little cries and facial expressions are so sweet. I miss that. So I hope this gives you guys that little “baby fix” as well.
This family introduced me to this awesome park in North Seattle. It has a beautiful beach with acres to explore and the trains pass through every hour. So the kids were mesmerized. We hiked a little of the trails during our session. I can’t wait to go back and adventure further up. We also saw the bubble man getting ready for a show. So much fun will be had here at Carkeek Park.
What a wonderful family! I can tell the outdoors are their place of choice. We found lots of creatures and interesting rocks, moss, leaves, bridges, and watched the mass of sailboats. My kind of morning!
Here are some of my highlights in the glorious, sunny, Seattle day.
Welcome to the world this sweet beautiful baby boy. He’s a dream. He smiled, he snuggled, he slept so soundly, and he was just too precious. It was a glorious sunny day in the pacific northwest. We went outside for some family photos and decided to do some of his portraits outside in the sun. He loved it and the doggies were digging’ in also.
This was our second session. In case any expecting mamas are wondering about sessions, I highly recommend the nesting package so you can have me capture your maternity and the newborn images. Ask me about it!
What a pleasure to work with this adorable family! Here are some of my highlights from the session. ❤
My first new little lady to meet is Josie. What a real little dolly. She’s three weeks new on this day. A very alert and curious sweetheart. It was a dark overcast day, but we captured the little light we could. Of course now we have summer weather happening here in the PNW. Weather is sure a gamble in these parts. We played, snuggled, wrapped, unwrapped, and played some more. I thought it was super cute that she liked to be sitting up when changing outfits. I like a girl that knows what she wants! 😉
So here is a new layout for the images I’m giving a try. I have some new upgrades that I have purchased so feel free to private message me feedback. I have a new online gallery that is superior to the old format. So make sure you check it out. I do not have all the older sessions uploaded. However, if you would like to have yours up to see what cool things you can now purchase just let me know.
I want to thank all my clients for a wonderful and crazy busy year. All your kind words, referrals, and reviews have really boosted exposure for my little business. My clients walk away with a new friend. I just adore all of you and your families. The future is bright and so rewarding for me in so many ways. Thank you so much!
I have a special session to share. This was a session donated to Cottage Lake Elementary School last February. What an adorable trio they are. The little one was a real true darling. A girl has to live up to her name right?! She took my hand as we walked around. I love making friends with my clients. Knowing how my daughter can react to some strangers I’m thankful I’m approachable.
We ventured to the Snoqualmie train depot, a nearby park, and even their home. It was a pretty brisk day out with lots of sun shining. We found out you can grab free hot cocoa or coffee inside one of the trains there. How nice is that! Oh and a cookie too. Take the kids there they will have a blast.
Here are some of my favorite images of our time together!
