This is a fabulous, Hollywood-glam, intimate elopement that I was honored to capture this month. All the details were lit by candlelight in this couple’s home with their closest family and friends. I shed tears, as I do at all my weddings, and even when I attend them those little moments are what get me. The way her father looked at her while they waited for the cue to walk down the stairs. The way her mom was overwhelmed at the first sight of her daughter in her dress. I remember her saying, “Why do you have to take a picture of me crying?” I chuckled under my breath and mentally gave myself a high-five.
I saw all the details perfectly placed throughout the home. The garage was replaced with an elegant dining area. I loved the smell of the food and laughter of the guests. It all consumes me while I tip toe around and snoop. The toasts were very touching too. I won’t forget the sons speech to his dad or the personal vows they wrote to each other.
And then there is the dancing that I love. I heard singing along with twirls and little girls doing flips as the couple had their first dance. It was also the night of the Super Moon that lit up the dark sky. I’d say the day was perfect. But who am I. I’m just the person that saw everything with the help of my amazing assistant, my Dad.
Here are some of the highlights from our view.
