Meet the Nereson/Gades~private home

This was my last session of 2011.  This past year marked growth for my little business.  My passion hasn’t wavered.  If anything its burning a little hotter now.  So watch out 2012.!  I’m hoping to make it a fierce, remarkable one.  I’m going to work on speeding up my workflow, sticking to my schedule,  and jumping higher out of my comfort zone.  Oh yeah and breaking more rules, entering more contests, traveling, and exploring more genres of photography.

This session was so much fun.  They have such a sweet pooch and an amazing little boy.  His super smart vocabulary and energy kept me on my feet.  Mom and Dad are so involved teaching him how to do just about everything.  Even teaching him the art of fly tying.  I hope you enjoy my favorites from our session.  That last one really says it all doesn’t it?!  We had a great time together.

I can’t thank you guys enough for choosing to come to me.  You were even willing to sit in the wagon for me!  What great sports you guys are.

Meet Endo and Jet

Sometimes the best location for a photo shoot can be your own home.  As it’s been for my last three sessions.  We can always find great places that have that special prop and background that no one else will have.  Then when you look back you love everything about your photos.  Oh that’s my house back in 09′ along with how sweet the kids look.  Or that’s the blanket that auntie made or your child’s favorite chair growing up.  The possibilites of items to use are endless.  If you’re unsure about your lighting or what would look good.  I will gladly come over and take a gander.  Plus, I get to know you better and this transforms an idea into a beautiful reflection of who I’m shooting.

The boys below are special to me.  I’ve know them since birth and get to see them weekly.  One has a sweet obsession with costumes and the other about the cutest smile around.  Here a couple of my favorite shots of the session.

Reiko, I was so excited to take your picture again.  Your boys are so full of life.  I love the way they play together.  I look forward to watching them grow up with Dylan.  And here’s to more zumba!

Meet Kesia and Her Girls~Bothell Country Village

We all start somewhere, right?!  Well my start happened to be with the little girl in my header.  She was one of the first clients I had.  And here she is, back with Mom and her baby sister.

She greeted with a huge hug and kiss.  What more can a girl ask for.  Here I was running around the Bothell Country Village with some of the cutest girls around town in tutus and converse.  They looked amazing.  I could definitely take a style lesson or two from them.  We saw bunnies, ducks, and chickens while we were there.  If I had more time I would have stopped in the Vanilla Bean for a coffee.  It’s a great mom friendly place with toys for the kids to play with.

Without further ado here they are….

Thank you Kesia for coming back and supporting me.  I loved being with you three!  You are perfect models!

Meet the Strein family~family portraits

I had the privilege of photographing this family.  There were blue eyes that were piercing my heart.  What a cutie.  I wish you guys could see the rolls under his shirt.

Yes, another heartbreaker is born.  Thank you Chris and Corina for coming to me!!

Beethoven eat your heart out.

Meet Jason and Allison~urban love

This adorable couple won a free session from me because of her response to a contest I had going.  I did this after starting my Facebook fan page and after reaching 100 fans.  I thought what better reward to give for Facebook love and support than to offer up my services.  So her comment was:  My hubby and I have been married 10 years and have never had professional photos taken. Not even at our wedding! We desperately need a picture that looks a lot like love. Plus, I dig your photography! :)   That was endearing to me and I’m glad I did because I just adore them.

So here are some highlights from the urban love session.

This last one my just be my favorite.   Thank you to the two of you for playing, supporting me, and being delightful all around.  Jason, you are a lucky guy!

Meet the Leitner family~Juanita Bay Park

I have never met a four-year old who was so cooperative and smiled the whole time.  What a good boy!  We met this lovely family down at Juanita Bay park in Kirkland.  It must be the hotspot for family portraits.  We saw at least 3 sessions happening while we were there.  Not to mention the nature photogs over on the piers.  Needless to say, it was an awesome place to shoot!

Up next……Urban Love….
