Meet Olivia~birth and newborn photos

I’m thoroughly enjoying my time with my new little love. I may be biased, but I think she is perfect in every way. Her arrival came Wednesday, April 10th at 11:57am. She was 7lbs and 9oz, 21 inches long. My labor took about 5 hours after getting to the hospital. And I am very proud of myself for going el natural till the very end. I got an epidural right at the end. You know the saying 8 is too late. Well I was already at 10cm. However feeling some pain helped me during the pushing. So she came out without the 3 hour ordeal I experience with my son. She also came out without the vacuum or forceps. So I really had a good experience this time.

She is surrounded by such a loving family. She is snuggled by them everyday! What more could I ask for?!!! Life is beautiful! I hope you enjoy a glance at our beautiful experience!♥♥♥

My Vintage Garden Baby Shower~Redmond Ridge Community Center

I can’t believe that such a beautiful event was all for me!

Like the crazy obsessive photographer that I am, I had to take a few detail shots for myself. How could I resist?! And now I have a great opportunity for a way to express a huge thank you and share my story.

First, I would just like to let you know about this crazy year. I’ve really been waiting for this little one for about 6 years now. For all the years that past since my first child there, has always been something in the way of us continuing our family. I have a son that is 8 now and both of us have been pretty patiently waiting to add more life to our close bond of three. However, during those in between years we added our puppy Miley. Who we all adore here. My husband joked that it was either the puppy or a baby and then said to me, “Oh it will probably be both!” And in the end that’s what we will have.♥

At this time last year we got pregnant right away. We were thrilled and excited. At first I was very sick for the few weeks, but then felt better. And instead of waiting the three months to share the news we starting telling everyone. What could possibly go wrong right?! So unfortunately for us we did get the worse possible news at our Dr’s. visit. Our hearts were broken forever. We lost that little one and were left empty and filled with sadness. I haven’t been able to talk publicly about this, but I feel like all my loved ones could feel part of this pain. And now sharing in all our joy this whole pregnancy, you all have shown me the way you feel by your kind words, support, embraces, generosity, and deep love. I feel very connected to each of you. I have so much to be thankful for and most of all I am thankful for all of you!

And now I am excitedly awaiting my daughter to arrive. I hope I get the chance to hold her because she is so loved by all of you I’m going to be doing a lot of sharing!!

Meet more of the Bristols~Duvall Studio

Happy 35 years of marriage to this wonderful couple. We celebrated together with a wonderful party and family photographs. So many great memories we have together. I’ve viewed them as my Aunty and Uncle my whole life. They have been there for me through all the struggles in my life and the best times too. I am so grateful to have such wonderful people in my life. (oh these darn pregnancy tears keep coming…)

Best Memory: All the trips we’ve had with them in Hawaii! I think they all have been equally as fun! But now we can take our own little kids and see what is was like for our parents to take us. Here’s to our life long friendship and to family!

Meet the Boyers~Tolt Macdonald Park & Campground

Another rainy session with success! It doesn’t seem to affect the kids a bit or even slow them down one iota. But this preggo mama tried to keep up! We met up at one of my favorite locations, Tolt Macdonald Park. I knew they had an undercover barn in case we needed some cover from the rain. And we sure did. What a relief it was towards the end to run under and dry off. But the kids had another idea. They were ready to play longer in the rain. Gotta love it. Don’t we all wish we have the energy that kids have?!

We were able to walk the whole park and I’m pretty sure we all had a great time.

Right now I’m getting close to having my baby so I’m working in a few more sessions. It sure does pass the time quickly staying busy.

Meet the Greenes~Bothell Landing Park

A little rain and construction never got in the way for this session. I’m so glad because the colors outside were brilliant. We decided on the Bothell Landing Park in Bothell even though it’s currently been a construction zone. You can still make your way down to the park. And hopefully the area will be done next year.

It’s amazing how people cross your lives several times a lifetime. The husband of this family and I were camping one summer together in our childhood. And I’m sure there were other times our families got together. So now 20+ years later we cross paths again. Pretty amazing huh?!

They are a lovely family of 4. I really enjoyed getting to know them. I loved how imaginative the kids were and full of ideas too.

I have a few more favorites that usual because I just loved the expressions so much.♥

Meet the Edwards~duvall studio

I’m plugging right along. I’m going to try to work as long as I can during this pregnancy. So far I feel pretty good over all. A few days here and there I’m uncomfortable, but pushing through. I already feel huge. I can’t imagine how I’ll feel in the next 4 months. Boy oh boy!

I have found out I’m having a girl. Which has been such a surprise and gift to us. I really didn’t think it was possible since we have mostly boys on the Martin side of the family. All I cared about was having a healthy baby that I didn’t set my heart on what I wanted. So both of us are very excited to experience this new journey.

On to the highlights of this post. Here we are with a six month photo shoot this sweet baby girl. Time is flying. And this time the family got in for some pictures. I think they are a gorgeous family inside and out. I decided to leave out a few of the best images out of this session so the family could be surprised when they see them for the first time.

I hope you guys enjoy these as must as I do.

Angela and Ian, I just love working with you guys. I probably keep saying that over and over, but I really mean it!

I love watching her grow up.

Meet Rainier~Bothell newborn

This little one is about 2 1/2 weeks new. I could have played and snuggled him all day. He was so precious and adorable. And he was surrounded by two loving big sisters and lots of furry family pets watching over his every move. It was so touching to watch.

His mama told me it wasn’t supposed to be possible for her to have this amazing miracle. And here he is….a true gift. I’m so happy for them.

Meet the Gerners~Discovery Park, Seattle

Here we are in November with a bunch of sessions coming on the blog. And to start, I have an adorable family of three. They picked this awesome location in Seattle, Discovery Park. I think it’s a must see in our area. The website says this about it: The site is one of breathtaking majesty. Situated on Magnolia Bluff overlooking Puget Sound, Discovery Park offers a spectacular view of both the Cascade and the Olympic Mountain ranges. The secluded site includes two miles of protected tidal beaches as well as open meadow lands, dramatic sea cliffs, forest groves, active sand dunes, thickets and streams. I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to get over there. If you want to get down to the beach you can walk 1.5 miles or grab a permit to park. But it’s very limited so you may have to plan for the walk. However, we were lucky and got the last pass left. PHEW! Now that I’m 4 and 1/2 months pregnant I’m thankful that happened.

This wonderful family felt like they were old friends of mine. I’m really not sure how I cross paths with such awesome people. But I am!! Lucky me.

Meet the Bristols~Bothell Country Village

I had another very special family to photograph! The hubby ~~was~~ is my brother’s best friend growing up. So most of the time it was the three of us playing legos and basketball outside. He witnessed many sibling battles between my brother and I. In fact, I think he was pretty much always there. So I’m sure he saw everything~ the good, the bad, the ugly, and the funny times. One of my best memories were the WWF matches on the trampoline. Oh and we’ll never forget the countless days running around value village feeling torchured that our parents would ever shop there. (of course now I’m happy to shop there) Things sure do change as we become parents!

Now I get to see all of our children grow up together. What an amazing thing to share together so many years later. I hope you enjoy my favorites from the Bothell Country Village!
