Big White

I love to share a great place with all of you!  A great place to take the family for vacation!  The shout out goes to our friendly Canadian neighbors above us!  This place was throughly enjoyed by our little group!  Check out Big White, Canada!  The scenery is breathtaking.  Every night the lodge is set up for the kids into a carnival or video game rec room.  The skiing is comparable to Whistler, just smaller.   The tubing is fantastic.  And things we didn’t even get to do were ice skating, sledding, snow shoeing, and more!  The only thing we would do differently next time would be to not travel at night.  The weather conditions can change quickly and make the trip so much longer.  What should have taken 7 hours took about 8 and 1/2.   We were almost in a blizzard on the way up.  At one point, we were sitting in our car with the engine off for an hour.  Just waiting for the traffic to clear from an accident due to the snow.  However, the way home was clear and sunny.  We hope to make this a yearly trip!

Love this place!

Dominoes

I am hoping for the domino effect here and gain some new readers!  Hardy har har….

Today was a pretty good day with the little ones in the family.  A day of games and adventure.   A day of the funnies.  The kids were rolling down the hills.  Some of them falling in the mud.  I’d say we had some pretty good laughs.  What’s a better quality than to laugh at yourself?!   Here’s to a great week!  I think I really am going with the new blog.  So far I am very pleased with the changes.

This was a cute one that I loved of my sis!

Here’s my boy.  What a funny kid!  Did I just say kid?  What happened to my little baby?!

Undecided

I’m still undecided if I will keep this blog or go back to blogger.  I would love to figure out if there is a way to add a little splash of color and still keep my custom header.  Hmmm…

Welcome to the New Blog

I hope this will make my life easier on this site.  Let me know what you think!

Meet Jet

This sweet little one was my model for the day.  Everything about him is wonderful.  His coos and cries just melt your heart!  Oh, that fresh baby smell and that soft skin.  I can’t get enough!  I do love babies!  I look forward to snuggling this guy any chance I get!  Here are a few of my favorites.

Testing 1 2 3

So this is basically for my own benefit. Don’t get too excited.  I wanted to see how the watermark looked made in Lightroom. They really didn’t make it easy, but with my Dad’s help there is a way.  I’m sure with a little more tweaking I’ll figure out how to move the watermark to the bottom of the photo.  But, this will work for now.

Streets

Practice, practice, practice.
I was trying to follow through on a weekly assignment. And as luck would have it I cannot for the life of me remember my password to enter the site. Well the assignment was “Streets”. I think I picked something kind of fun. One, because it’s dark out and I’m limited to the kind of street I could photograph. Two, I worked all week and just want to be a homebody. Can you really blame me?! So I will have my camera on me tomorrow and get some real shots, but for now this will just have to do.

My heart goes out my some friends of mine with a sick one year old.  He’s having some kidney problems.  I wish I had the cure for them.  We’ll be praying for you Maxwell.

Woodpeckers and a Wedding Show

So I’m a fan of nature. I love animals. I would never want to harm an animal, but this one has got to go. He is pecking on our house and driving us crazy. Ahhh, isn’t he so cute! What do I do to get rid of this guy? Do I just wait it out and see if he picks another tree or home to demolish. Or do we have to resort to a Bee Bee gun? Suggestions are welcome! This link has a coupon for the show! Two for one admission there!

Ok, next on my agenda will be the Seattle Wedding Expo.  This is my first time going.  I am pretty excited about it.  Please stop by our booth if you are there!  So many Brides so little time! Check out this link for a coupon that entitles you to two for one admission.

Having fun with a new lens

We have a new lens to add to the family biz. It’s the canon EF 85mm f/1.8. So far we are loving it. It’s very sharp and makes a great blurred background. More critiquing to come. But here is the beauty.

Our little practice session was at the roller rink yesterday. We had the lens on my dad’s canon 5d. Let me know what you think.

Normally, I wouldn’t put myself up on the blog. But I thought these were ok! Hahaha! Great of the blurred background!

Fall

I’m a third of the way saved up for my new camera!
