Where to begin on a love story….
It began for me the day I married my best friend. And for my dear friend, Cami, I think this is the start to her story. The day life’s journey really begins. The day you declare your love in front of the world and never look back. I’m still choked up from just being a viewer of the days events. I’m just a romantic that never gets tired of the gestures from the heart. Everything is out in the open on a wedding day. The embrace, the kiss, the tears….everything.
So here’s the story in pictures for you all to imagine.
These images are just a tease really of the 900 more that were taken. I hope you all saw a glimmer of what I did.

Meet Shylah~private home
What’s more precious that new life only 8 days new. No matter what you may be going through in life it stops for a moment and your endorphins fill with joy. That little one has such happiness in a teeny package and when we hold them we get that little piece of their joy too. It fills our heart to the brim with gushing emotions. I am so thankful for these moments. My troubles vanish and I get caught up in the excitement of new life. I am extremely thankful to have met this little baby girl.
She was so content during our session together. And these are my favorites.
Thank you so much D’ann and Tyrell! Making your book was really a highlight for me. I can’t wait to see it!
Your baby girl is so beautiful and such a blessing. She really is your little Sunshine!!!
Meet Cruz~private home
Right before I came down with the worst cold I’ve had in so long I was able to meet an adorable little guy who stole my heart. I can’t stop smiling when I go through his pics. I just loved how he would look at me and grin. He knew it was picture time and he loved it. The girls are going to chase after this one!
When I was there I must say he had the coolest toy ever. A giant toddler roller coaster. If you want to be Grandma of the year, go and get one of these! They are awesome! Oh and he also had the coolest John dear boots ever. So cute!
Here are my favorites from our session.
Thank you so much Summer! I feel so honored to meet and photograph your family. You are raising such a sweetheart! Your home was so lovely and filled with so much joy and love. Now every time we go to Salty’s I’ll think of you guys!!
Meet the Cagney~Shorrocks~in studio
What a better time to have family pictures done then when they fly across the Atlantic to come for a visit.
I had the pleasure of meeting two people who did fly over from Ireland. I have to admit I’ve wanted to visit Ireland ever since I saw Far and Away when I was a teenager. I may have had a Tom Cruise crush♥♥♥……. Anyway, we had a great time inside and out of the studio. The weather is finally turning. I’m soooo ready for spring! These two little cuties came all dolled up for Grandpa and Auntie. I can tell they love them so much.
I hope you enjoy my favorites from the session.

Thank you so much Helene! You have a wonderful family! I can’t wait to meet the missing member for your family pics! You have a wonderful spirit! I really enjoyed getting to know you and the girls!!! Next time I know baby girl will be dancing!
Meet Josiah and Cami~Bear Creek Country Club
Seeing and feeling another person’s happiness can be contagious. You walk away feeling butterflies yourself! And the couple below is very special to me. Cami is one of my oldest friends. She was a bridesmaid in my own wedding so many years ago. So I have countless memories to share about her and I. We go as far back as Junior High. You know, the awkward goofy time in life.
My first memory of us is a camping trip. We of course got in trouble one night singing “American Pie” with some older neighboring campers. I just smile thinking about it….. We are also connected by the loss of some amazing loved ones in our lives. So we have a very strong friendship that will always be there. No matter how much time passes or life changes our friendship picks up right where it left off. Whatever she needs I’ll be there!
I hope you guys enjoy my favorite images! Our location is the Bear Creek Country Club. This also brings back many memories for me since I worked here as a banquet server back in the college days. I had a lot of fun at that job!
I am so excited about your wedding. I am so honored to photograph your special day! You two are such a great match! I wish you the happiness you both deserve forever! LOVE you! XOXO
Meet the Luckes~in studio
I can’t believe how great its been to have a little home studio. Seattle is just too cold, rainy, and snowy???? I do have to say it also has a great amount of overcast days that make for the best lighting. So even when we are in studio we can pop outside at some point for a couple outdoor shots. It becomes a perfect combo with lots of interesting settings.
I have to say that I’m ditching this weather for the 85° degrees in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. So I promise a future post full of warmth and sandy beaches. Oh and lots of smiling faces! But before I go I wanted to share an adorable couple with a bun in the oven! They make me want to smile. Plus, they told me they thought I was younger than I am. Now that’s a good complement, isn’t it!!!!
Oh and I wanted to really share my appreciation to everyone coming to this blog site, making Facebook comments, and the referrals. My goodness you guys are making this easy for me. Instead of all the marketing that I would need to do, I get to shoot, edit, and express my thoughts this way. So thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!
One more thank you to D’ann and Tyrell! I can’t wait to meet your little baby. I remember the day Dylan came into my life like it was yesterday. Get ready to fall head over heels for her! I hope all goes well in the next 8 weeks!
Meet Landen~in studio
Another beautiful newborn came to the studio. He loved it so much that he wanted to be awake most of the time we spent together that day. Which gave us lots of opportunities to play with him, love him, and oooooh and ahhhhh over him the whole time. I loved his expressions and the way he always seemed to be pointing at someone.
I had a hard time choosing my favorites this time. It was wonderful to have Mom and Dad join in and show their love!
Thank you so much Delia and Theresa! I know you guys traveled a long way to come to the studio! I really appreciate the effort that must have taken with a new little guy. Who I just adore. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

10 months and counting…..
It’s time to get a little personal. I’ve been photographing this little one since birth and this month is no exception. She sparkles like glitter in my life. Her laughter lights up the room. And her silky smooth skin feels so soft. I could go on and on about her. I ♥ being an Auntie!
We had some quality time at the park last week and I just wanted to share it with you guys!
These two have a thing for each other. One giggles and the other gets jumpy and energized.
I saved the best for last. I didn’t realize a baby could laugh the same way we do. The laugh that makes you tear up and almost pee your pants. LOL.
Meet Charlotte
This post is going to be 100% girlie because there were three little princesses at this shoot. Primarily the angel below. So its ok to have a million xoxoxos and sparkles and hearts as I want. If fact, I may just bedazzle the whole post. If you remember my post Meet bun in the oven #3, this is the darling arrival. She is already full of smiles and loves the music of Lady and the Tramp. We had fun with new props and heart-shaped bokeh. What more could a girl ask for?!
For the heart shapes I used this cool thing from The Photojojo store. If you are a camera junkie like me you will love this place.
I can’t wait to see this little lady grow. Before I know it, she’ll be a mover and a shaker like the big sisters are!
Meet Peyton & Steele~in the studio
It’s been a baby wonderland sort of week. Lots of gushy cheeky grins to photograph! I thought it would be fun to include some interesting twin factoids for the post this week in honor of these two cuties!
Here’s what Wikipedia has to say:
The twin birth rate in the United States rose 76 percent from 1980 through 2009, from 18.9 to 33.3 per 1,000 births. The Yoruba have the highest rate of twinning in the world, at 45-50 twin sets (or 90-100 twins) per 1,000 live births, possibly because of high consumption of a specific type of yam containing a natural phytoestrogen which may stimulate the ovaries to release an egg from each side.
Fraternal or dizygotic (DZ) twins (also referred to as “non-identical twins”, “dissimilar twins”, “biovular twins”, and, in cases of females, sororal twins) usually occur when two fertilized eggs are implanted in the uterus wall at the same time. When two eggs are independently fertilized by two different sperm cells, fraternal twins result. The two eggs, or ova, form two zygotes, hence the terms dizygotic and biovular.
Dizygotic twins, like any other siblings, have an extremely small chance of having the same chromosome profile. Like any other siblings, dizygotic twins may look similar, particularly given that they are the same age. However, dizygotic twins may also look very different from each other. They may be of different sexes or the same sex. The same holds true for brothers and sisters from the same parents, meaning that fraternal and/or sororal twins are simply siblings who happen to be the same age.
Studies show that there is a genetic basis for dizygotic twinning. However, it is only their mother that has any effect on the chances of having such twins; there is no known mechanism for a father to cause the release of more than one ovum. Dizygotic twinning ranges from six per thousand births in Japan (similar to the rate of monozygotic twins) to 14 and more per thousand in some African countries.
Dizygotic twins are also more common for older mothers, with twinning rates doubling in mothers over the age of 35. With the advent of technologies and techniques to assist women in getting pregnant, the rate of fraternals has increased markedly.
The two little sweeties below are very special. They have such a lovely family to spoil and love them to pieces. I loved how they loved hearing Grandma sing to them. It was too cute! I hope you all enjoy my favorites from the session and learned a wee bit about twinsies!
I want to thank you Brittney for bringing in your little dolls! And to your helpers. They were great and made things go super smooth! I love these little guys! I’m going to love watching them grow up! They are such an amazing blessing!
